One of our featured artists in the cafe this spring is Erik Carter. 🖼️ Erik is an oil painter & educator based on the North Shore. His work focuses on strong drawing, careful observation, and the expressive use of light and value across still life, landscape, and figurative subjects. Erik grew up on Plum Island and developed his early interest in art alongside his mother, painter & educator Pat Lutz. Today he teaches and helps steward the community art studio The Artists Playground, where he encourages students to build strong fundamentals while developing their own voice through experimentation and practice.
